Gwalchmai, meaning May-Hawk, is a village in Ynys Môn (Anglesey).
It is associated with Gwalchmai ap Meilyr, an Anglesey court poet whose work is dated to 1130-1180.
His son Einion ap Gwalchmai was a poet whose work is dated to 1203-1223.
